Sentinel-3 sends an impressive satellite image of the Canary Islands for Kings Day

The European Copernicus space observation program sent a beautiful gift from the Kings to the Canary Islands yesterday (Friday), an amazingly clear satellite image of the archipelago in all its glory from space.

The image was obtained on Christmas Eve by Sentinel-3, which is a constellation of Earth observation satellites developed by the European Space Agency as part of the Copernicus program, and was accompanied by the text "Happy Three Kings Day to our Canarian followers" when posted on Twitter.

Copernicus is the EU’s Earth observation programme coordinated and managed for the European Commission by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme in partnership with the European Space Agency, the EU Member States.

It provides accurate and up-to-date information to improve environmental management, understand and mitigate the effects of climate change, and ensure citizen security, by making the information easily accessible.
