Police catch tourists camping in the Anaga Rural Park
Officers from the Local Police discovered a group of tourists camping inside the protected area of the Anaga Rural Park in Tenerife, during their patrols of the area on Saturday, prompting their immediate eviction.
According to the Local Police's communication department, this area has special protection due to its environmental values and laurel forests, meaning camping is prohibited.
The officers identified the people involved to compile a sanction and reported the infringement to the environmental service of the Tenerife Cabildo. They were also instructed to gather their belongings and were escorted outside of the Reserve.
This is just another example of people ignoring signs and disrespecting the natural environment, and just doing whatever they want when coming to the islands on holiday.
