Yellow weather warning for rain on three Canary Islands this Friday

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain affecting La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro today, Friday, 17th October.
According to AEMET, the warning for El Hierro and La Gomera will be active from midnight until 3:00pm, with a 40–70% chance of rain. Rainfall could reach 15mm in one hour, mainly on western slopes, and may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
On La Palma, the alert also began at midnight, but will remain in place until 6:00pm. Forecasters expect accumulated rainfall of up to 60mm over 12 hours, particularly in the northwest and inland areas of the island during the morning.
Residents and visitors are advised to take precautions, especially in areas prone to flooding or landslides, and to stay informed through official channels.
