World Beer Awards 2025 recognises Canarian favourites Dorada and Tropical
Cervecera de Canarias has once again brought international recognition to the Canary Islands after winning five medals at the prestigious World Beer Awards 2025. The awards were split across its flagship brands, Dorada and Tropical, which are popular with both residents and visitors across the islands.
The jury, made up of international experts, awarded silver medals to Tropical Sin Filtros, Dorada Especial Original, Dorada Especial Tostada and Dorada Especial Negra.
Tropical 1924 also earned a bronze medal, further cementing the company’s reputation as one of Spain’s most successful regional breweries.
Naveen Mehra, general director of Cervecera de Canarias, spoke about the importance of the recognition, saying that once again the company’s brands had achieved significant success, proving their commitment to quality and excellence in brewing. She added that these awards also act as an incentive to continue innovating in order to meet new consumer trends and respond to customer needs.
The Dorada Especial range was particularly celebrated, collecting three silver medals in this year’s competition. Among them, Dorada Especial Original stood out as the variety with the longest history of international recognition, having accumulated multiple awards over the years.
