WEDNESDAY WEATHER: Cloudy skies with slightly warmer temperatures
There will be mostly cloudy skies across the Canary Islands today, Wednesday, with light winds and a small rise in daytime temperatures, according to the national weather service AEMET.
However, the regional government has kept all islands on pre-alert since Monday due to unsettled conditions.
Maximum temperatures are expected to hit 23°C in Gran Canaria and the eastern islands, and 22°C in Tenerife and the western islands, with lows of around 15°C in both provinces.
Winds will generally blow lightly from the west but may strengthen locally through the afternoon, reaching moderate levels in some areas. At sea, northerly to north-westerly winds of force 3–4, occasionally 4–5, are forecast, with slight to moderate seas and a north-westerly swell of 3–5 metres.

TENERIFE
Partly cloudy with low cloud early on and high cloud later in the day. Temperatures rising in mid-altitude areas and high terrain, and stable or slightly higher on the coasts. Light westerly winds increasing in the afternoon; moderate westerlies on the peaks.
Temperatures: Low of 15°C and high of 22°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Partly cloudy overall. Minimum temperatures steady; maximums stable or slightly higher. Light westerly winds, locally stronger on the southeast and northwest slopes later. Moderate westerlies on the high ground.
Temperatures: Low of 16°C and high of 23°C.
LANZAROTE
Cloudy in the north and west, easing to intervals later. Elsewhere, partly cloudy. Minimum temperatures unchanged; maximums rising slightly, particularly in the northeast. Light westerly winds, strengthening in the north later.
Temperatures: Low of 15°C and high of 22°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Cloudy in the north and west, clearing to intervals in the afternoon. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimums steady; maximums slightly higher, especially in the east. Light westerly winds, stronger in the north later.
Temperatures: Low of 16°C and high of 22°C.
