The heat returns to the Canary Islands with temperatures up to 30°C

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is forecasting clear skies with occasional cloudy periods for today (Saturday), particularly at the start and towards the end of the day. There's a possibility of light haze in the eastern islands (Lanzarote and Fuerteventura) this afternoon, and temperatures are expected to rise moderately, potentially exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

The wind is expected to be light to moderate from the northeast, shifting to the south inland and high areas. Regarding the sea conditions, winds from the east, southeast, and northeast of force 2 or 3 are anticipated, increasing to 3 to 5.

On the west and southwest coasts of the islands, winds are expected to be variable at force 1 to 3, leading to rippled sea conditions. A northwest swell is expected, with waves of just 1 to 2 metres.

LANZAROTE:

Clear skies with some cloudy periods in the early morning, and a likelihood of haze in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures will remain stable or slightly decrease, while maximum temperatures are expected to moderately rise, especially in inland areas where they may reach 30°C. Expect light northeast winds, becoming moderately southerly in high areas.
Temperatures: High of 30°C and low of 15°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:

Similar conditions with clear skies and some cloudy intervals in the early morning, along with probable afternoon haze. Minimum temperatures will remain stable or slightly decrease, while maximum temperatures are expected to rise moderately, potentially reaching 30-32°C, especially in inland areas. Winds will be light from the northeast, turning moderately southerly in high areas.
Temperatures: High of 32°C and low of 17°C.

GRAN CANARIA:

Clear skies with occasional cloudy periods in the early morning on the north and east coasts, with probable haze in the afternoon mainly affecting the midlands. Temperatures will experience a slight to moderate increase, possibly reaching 30°C in the northern midlands. Expect light northeast winds, shifting to a moderate southern component in the midlands and high areas.
Temperatures: High of 30°C and low of 17°C.

TENERIFE:

Expect clear skies with some cloudy periods on the coast during the early morning, as well as on the north coast towards the end of the day. Temperatures will experience a slight to moderate increase. Winds will be light from the northeast, with moderate intervals during the early and late hours, turning to a moderate southerly component in the midlands and high areas.
Temperatures: High of 29°C and low of 18°C.
