The Canary Islands begin the week with a slight drop in temperatures

The Canary Islands are set to experience a slight drop in temperatures as a new week begins, according to the latest forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). Today's forecast, Monday, includes generally cloudy intervals and overcast skies in the north of the islands at higher altitudes.

There is a chance of light and occasional rain, particularly in the western islands (La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro). Inland areas will see temperatures drop, with light to moderate northerly winds expected. Winds are expected to be more intense on the eastern and northwestern slopes of the islands.

At sea, northerly or northeasterly winds will range from force 3 to 6, resulting in generally calm to moderate seas with rougher conditions in some areas. Southern and southwestern coasts will experience variable breezes, with slight to moderate waves. A northern swell will bring waves between 1 to 2 metres in height.
