The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is forecasting a cloudy and showery Tuesday across the north of the Canary Islands, with rain in exposed northern slopes. Across the rest of the archipelago, skies will vary between partly cloudy and overcast, and southern inland areas may see occasional midday showers as cloud builds.

Temperatures will stay much the same as recent days, although inland areas may see a slight drop in daytime highs. Winds will generally blow from the north or northeast, sometimes strengthening along southeast and northwest slopes.

At sea, conditions will be moderate to occasionally rough, especially on the eastern and western coasts where winds could briefly reach force 6 offshore overnight. A northerly or north-westerly swell of 1–2 metres will add to choppy waters around the islands.

Island forecasts for Tuesday 18th November:

TENERIFE
Northern Tenerife is expected to remain mostly cloudy throughout the day with a good likelihood of light, persistent drizzle, particularly along the Anaga and north-facing coastal areas. The rest of the island will see a mix of sun and cloud, though cloud cover will increase around midday in the southern interior, including areas near Vilaflor and the foothills of Teide, bringing the possibility of brief, isolated showers.

Temperatures at the coast will stay mild, but maximums may dip slightly inland and at higher elevations. Northeasterly winds will be moderate, strengthening at times on the southeast slopes (such as around Güímar) and in the far northwest.
Temperatures: Low of 20°C and high of 24°C.

GRAN CANARIA
A mostly cloudy day is expected in northern Gran Canaria, particularly in the metropolitan area of Las Palmas and across the mid-altitude northern municipalities. Light rain or drizzle is likely at intervals, especially during the morning. The southern half of the island will start with intervals of cloud, gradually becoming more overcast in the interior, including areas near San Bartolomé de Tirajana, with a chance of occasional midday showers.

Temperatures will remain stable overall, though maximums in central highland zones may be a touch lower. Northeasterly winds will be moderate across the island, with stronger gusts possible along southeast and northwest slopes, such as around Mogán and Agaete.
Temperatures: Low of 19°C and high of 24°C.

LANZAROTE
Lanzarote will wake to cloudy skies in the north, including Órzola, Haría and the Famara area, where light rain is quite probable at times. The rest of the island, including the tourist zones of Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, will experience a mix of cloudy and bright spells.

Temperatures will hold steady, and a moderate northerly wind will prevail, occasionally fresh across exposed coastal areas. Sea conditions around the island are expected to be moderate with some rough patches offshore.
Temperatures: Low of 18°C and high of 23°C.

FUERTEVENTURA
Fuerteventura will see intervals of cloud across the island, with only a small chance of light and brief showers, mainly in northern and inland areas. Tourist resorts such as Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste and Morro Jable should experience mostly bright spells mixed with periods of cloud.

Temperatures will stay similar to recent days, although inland highs may dip slightly. Moderate northerly winds will be felt across much of the island, with exposed zones seeing occasional fresh gusts.
Temperatures: Low of 17°C and high of 23°C.
