The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has forecast the possibility of light rains in the northern regions of the Canary Islands during the early hours of today, Tuesday. The weather pattern is expected to affect maritime conditions as well, with swells from the north and northeast reaching heights between 1 and 2 metres.
According to AEMET, winds from the north to northeast will intensify, particularly in the northwest and southeast offshore areas. Coastal regions, especially in the southwest, will experience light variable winds with occasional breezes.
