The island of La Palma is currently the location for the filming of a new British series for Netflix called ‘The Choice’. It is political thriller starring Julie Delpy (The Dark Knight) as a fictional French president and Suranne Jones (Vigil) as a fictional British prime minister.
Created and produced by Matt Charman, known for his work on Traitors and Bridge of Spies, the series focuses on an international summit between the French and British leaders that goes wrong when the husband of the British Prime Minister is kidnapped and the French president is blackmailed.

Filming began in the UK before moving to La Palma, where local expertise is playing a crucial role. Over ten local companies have been involved, providing specialised services to support this high-profile production.
