Lagoon Beach Club opens in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is set to welcome a striking new attraction this weekend with the grand opening of Lagoon Beach Club, a stylish new coastal venue in Costa Calma designed to redefine leisure, dining, and sport on the island.
The grand opening takes place on Friday, 31st October, at 7 pm, and will bring together over 300 guests from across the Canary Islands for a special moon-themed celebration. The event will feature a spectacular performance inspired by the phases of the moon, created by artistic director Israel Reyes and the R2 Hotels culinary team, with guest chef José Rojano.
During the evening, guests will enjoy a visual and emotional journey that starts with the New Moon, peaks with the Eclipse, and ends with the Last Quarter, symbolising the rebirth of Lagoon Beach Club. Live acts will include Miss Marieme, Ronia Alvarado, Luis Polo Band, and violinist José Luis Montesdeoca, as well as dancers, acrobats, and fashion performances celebrating the culture and spirit of Fuerteventura.
Lagoon Beach Club is set right by the sea, and has been designed as a modern island oasis, a place to relax by day or night among lagoon-style pools, Balinese beds, cocktails, music, and creative food. It’s a space made for reading, sunbathing, socialising, or simply enjoying the sound of the waves.
The club features several themed areas inspired by well-known parts of the island, including:
- a lagoon-style swimming pool with Balinese beds and views of the Atlantic
- a gastrobar serving fresh and creative dishes
- chill-out zones with hammocks, beanbags, and shaded spaces to relax.
For those who like to stay active, there’s also an outdoor fitness area with an outdoor exercise area, yoga and Pilates sessions, and a professional beach volleyball court. All of this is open to everyone, not just to guests of the R2 Río Calma Hotel..
Lagoon Beach Club will also host regular events throughout the year, including sunset rituals, live music, themed parties, DJ sets, yoga sessions, and much more, ensuring no two visits are ever the same.
