Eight people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred yesterday (Saturday) on the TF-82 road in the municipality of El Tanque, in the south west of Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident took place when CECOES received an alert reporting a head-on collision between two cars, and immediately dispatched to the scene the relevant emergency resources to the location given on the TF-82.
Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed and treated the eight people involved. Two of them, a 65-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man, who had the most serious injuries and were taken to Hospiten Sur and Hospital Quirón Costa Adeje, respectively, for further treatment.
The other people involved in the accident only suffered minor injuries and didn’t need to go to hospital.
The Road Maintenance Service of the Tenerife Cabildo cleared the road, and the Guardia Civil conducted the necessary report to determine the cause of the accident.
