The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are forecasting predominantly cloudy skies across the Canary Islands today, Tuesday, with little change in temperatures. The regional government’s pre-alert for all islands, activated yesterday (Monday), remain in place.

At sea, northerly winds of force 4–5 are expected, increasing locally to 6 in the southeast and southwest during the afternoon before easing to 3–4 overnight.

Swell will range from moderate to rough, decreasing later, while northwest swell is set to rise to 3–4 metres, and temporarily 4–5 metres on northern coasts overnight into Wednesday morning.

Island-by-island forecast for Tuesday 3rd February 2026:

TENERIFE
Cloudy intervals becoming clearer in the north during the afternoon. Temperatures stable or slightly cooler at midday. Northwest winds easing and shifting westerly from midday; stronger gusts possible at high altitudes.
Temperatures: Low of 17°C and high of 22°C.

GRAN CANARIA
Cloudier skies in the north early on and in the south later in the day. Temperatures unchanged or slightly cooler at the warmest hours. Northwest winds, occasionally strong on the northeast slopes, easing in the afternoon.
Temperatures: Low of 17°C and high of 21°C.

LANZAROTE
Cloudy intervals, with more high cloud in the afternoon. Little change in temperatures. Northwest winds easing later.
Temperatures: Low of 16°C and high of 21°C.

FUERTEVENTURA
Cloudy intervals and increasing high cloud in the afternoon. Temperatures steady. Northwest winds easing by evening.
Temperatures: Low of 15°C and high of 22°C.
