Clear or mostly clear skies are expected across the Canary Islands today, Sunday, accompanied by generally light winds and slightly rising temperatures, according to the national weather agency, AEMET.

Winds will come from the northwest, mostly light, becoming moderate in mid-altitude and higher areas, and at sea, northern winds of force 2 to 3 are expected, increasing locally to 3 to 4, with slight to moderate seas and a northwest swell of 3 to 4 metres.

Below is the island-by-island outlook for Sunday 8th February:

Tenerife
In Tenerife, Sunday will see clear or mostly clear skies, with the northern regions — including La Laguna and the Anaga area — experiencing some intervals of cloud, typical for this time of year.

The south, including Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje, and Playa de las Américas, will remain bright and sunny, with excellent beach conditions throughout the day.

Temperatures will remain stable or increase slightly, especially during the daytime in sheltered areas. Northwest winds will be light around coastal zones, becoming moderate in mid-altitude areas and higher terrain, such as Vilaflor and the Teide National Park region.
Temperature range: Low of 17°C and high of 23°C.

Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria will see mostly clear skies, with some cloud intervals in the north — mainly around Las Palmas and the northern slopes — where the island’s trade-wind cloud pattern may bring short-lived patches of low cloud.

The south, including Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, and Puerto Rico, will enjoy sunny and stable conditions for most of the day.

Temperatures hold steady or rise slightly, maintaining a mild and pleasant feel island-wide. Winds from the northwest will be light, turning moderate in mid-altitude areas and the highlands, such as Cruz de Tejeda and the mountainous interior.
Temperature range: Low of 17°C and high of 23°C.

Lanzarote
Lanzarote will experience a mix of conditions with more cloud in the north and west, particularly during the early morning and late afternoon. These areas may see brief periods of low cloud rolling in from the Atlantic.

Elsewhere on the island — including popular tourist zones such as Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise, and Puerto del Carmen — skies will remain mostly clear, offering good visibility and pleasant sunshine throughout the day.

Temperatures will show little change but may edge slightly higher, especially overnight in inland areas where minimums will feel milder than recent days. A light to moderate north-westerly breeze will be present, enough to keep conditions comfortable without causing disruption.
Temperature range: Low of 15°C and high of 22°C.

Fuerteventura
Across Fuerteventura, conditions will be cloudier in the north and west, including Corralejo and El Cotillo, where morning cloud may linger before gradually breaking.

The central and southern tourist regions — Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma, and Morro Jable — can expect clear or mostly clear skies, offering a bright and warm day ideal for outdoor plans.

Temperatures will remain stable or rise slightly, especially the overnight lows inland. Winds from the northwest will be light to moderate, typical of Fuerteventura’s breezy climate but not strong enough to affect beachgoers significantly.
Temperature range: Low of 15°C and high of 23°C.
