CD Tenerife and UD Las Palmas Donate Ticket Proceeds to DANA Disaster Victims

CD Tenerife and UD Las Palmas have announced plans to donate the proceeds from upcoming match ticket sales to support those affected by the recent torrential rains and flooding caused by the DANA that struck the eastern part of Spain.

The region most impacted by the storm was the Valencian region, which had devastating consequences, including significant loss of life and property damage.

CD Tenerife confirmed on Friday that all ticket sales revenue from their match against CD Mirandés, tonight (Sunday) at the Heliodoro stadium in Santa Cruz, will be donated to the victims of the natural disaster. This initiative extends to ticket purchases made at the stadium’s ticket office, outlets across the island, and through online sales.

“With this action, CD Tenerife and its fans aim to show sincere solidarity with the events that have unfolded this week in eastern Spain and contribute to alleviating the significant personal and material losses caused by the DANA,” stated the club’s official announcement.

Additionally, CD Tenerife expressed its condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives due to this tragic event.

UD Las Palmas Joins the Effort

UD Las Palmas also pledged to donate the full revenue from ticket sales of their upcoming match against RCD Mallorca, scheduled for November 23rd at the Estadio de Gran Canaria in Las Palmas, to those affected by the disaster. The club confirmed that the proceeds would be distributed through the appropriate authorities and organisations.

“UD Las Palmas wishes to express profound sorrow for the victims of this tragic event and extend heartfelt condolences to their families and friends,” concluded their statement.

These announcements underline the compassionate response from the football community in the Canary Islands, reflecting the spirit of unity and support during a time of national mourning.
