It has been confirmed that a man died yesterday afternoon (Monday) while bathing in the sea off Tauro Beach in Mogán, on the south coast of Gran Canaria.
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) report shows that they received an alert at 5:52pm requesting assistance for a man, whose age and nationality have not been specified, who was pulled from the sea in cardiorespiratory arrest and was being given CPR on the beach
CECOES immediately dispatch the necessary emergency resources to the beach and medical personnel arrived by helicopter and took over trying to revive him, but their efforts were in vain and they could only certify his death.
The Guardia Civil were in charge of guarding the body of the deceased until the arrival of the judicial authority who instructed the corresponding proceedings for official identification and autopsy.
