The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued yellow weather warnings for several islands this Wednesday for gusts of wind up to 70 kilometres per hour in several areas.
Specifically, the warnings will affect all of the islands except Tenerife and Fuerteventura and will be active from 5:00pm to 11:59pm in the east, west and south of Gran Canaria; all of Lanzarote, the peaks and the west of La Palma, and all areas of La Gomera and El Hierro.
In addition to these, the east, south and west of Gran Canaria, as well as the east, south and west of Tenerife, will also be under yellow alerts for coastal phenomena from 3:00pm this Wednesday, with people advised to take extreme caution if going into the sea in these areas, especially under red flags.
La Gomera and El Hierro will also be on yellow alert for coastal phenomena but from 8:00pm.
