Five million euros of aid for bars, restaurants and gyms in alert Level 3

Five million euros of aid for bars, restaurants and gyms in alert Level 3

The Gran Canaria Cabildo have announced that they are allocating 5 million euros to help alleviate the economic situation of bars, restaurants and gyms due to the entry of the island into alert Level 3 due restrictions, and subsequent closure of interiors to the public.

The president, Antonio Morales, has just said that the aid will be processed following the procedure used a few months ago for the distribution of those granted to SMEs and the self-employed for almost 11 million euros, and that 9,783 applications were received for that one.

Morales hopes that the aid for hospitality and companies of sports activities in closed spaces will be processed faster because the previous specifications and the experience acquired by the Chamber of Commerce will be used, although the amount of the aid will depend on the number of applications processed, meaning they estimate that support will range between 1,000 and 3,000 euros.

Details on requirements, deadlines and documentation to present, will be finalized in the next few days.
