Covid update: 5 Covid deaths today including a 37 year old man with no previous pathologies

The latest date from the Ministry of Health reports of 211 new cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands and five more Covid related deaths, 3 in Gran Canaria and 2 in Tenerife. Among these people was a 37-year-old man who died in Gran Canaria and who had no previous pathology.

Regarding the other four deaths, they were two women of 87 and 65 years old in Gran Canaria, as well as a 74-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman in Tenerife. All of them were already admitted to hospital and did suffer from previous pathologies.

Of the new cases today, 95 are in Tenerife, 91 are in Gran Canaria, 15 in Fuerteventura, 7 in Lanzarote, 3 in La Palma, and none in La Gomera or El Hierro.

The downward trend, although slowing down, is continuing in the right direction with interest rates going down again and more than double the number of discharges compared to new cases reducing the number of active cases again.
