Covid update: 182 new cases endorses level 3 in Tenerife and Gran Canaria

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, there are 182 new cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands today, of which 86 are in Tenerife, 79 are in Gran Canaria, 12 are in Lanzarote, 3 are in Fuertevenura, and 2 are in El Hierro. They have also reported of 3 Covid related deaths in the last 24 hours, all in Tenerife which takes the total deaths to 708 .

The Ministry of Health has updated their vaccination data which shows they have now administered 474,665 doses of the three vaccines approved by the EMA. Of the total doses administered, 325,174 were from Pfizer, 26,053 from Moderna and 123,438 from AstraZeneca.

Yesterday, Friday April 16th, vaccination teams managed to administer 17,389 vaccines and so far 124,296 people have already received the two doses of the vaccine in the Canary Islands.

Vaccination data by islands:
- In Tenerife 185,879 doses have been administered with the immunization of 45,733 people have received two doses of the vaccine.
- In Gran Canaria, a total of 180,590 doses have been administered and 43,882 people have had two doses.
- In Lanzarote, 41,866 doses have been administered with 11,752 people having already received two doses.
- In Fuerteventura, 24,990 doses have been administered and 6,808 people have received two doses.
- On La Palma, 28,142 doses have been administered and 9,684 people have already received two doses.
- In La Gomera, 6,181 doses have been administered and 2,009 people have received two doses.
- In El Hierro, 4,409 doses have been administered and 1,488 people have received two doses.
