Covid update: 130 new cases and one Covid related death today

The Canary Islands has registered 130 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Ministry of Health, in which there has also been one Covid related death in Tenerife. After counting the 121 people who were medically discharged this morning, active cases have increased in the islands to 1,627, but ICU patients have dropped again to 30, those in wards to 191, whilst there are 1,406 people in home isolation.

The Accumulated Incidence rate over 7 days in the Canary Islands has risen slightly to 33.64 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, but the IA14 has dropped to 68.84 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife has added 79 cases today with 1,047 active cases on the island; whereas Gran Canaria has 28 more than yesterday, and 375 active. Lanzarote adds 13 new cases and has 135 actives; Fuerteventura adds 10 new cases with 65 active, and there weren’t any new cases in La Palma, La Gomera, or El Hierro once again, and in fact they only have 5 active cases between them.
