Covid update: Active cases down, ICU occupancy down, hospital admissions down

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands has registered 76 new cases of coronavirus today in the archipelago, with 196 people medically discharged, reducing the active cases to 1,710 of which 38 are admitted to ICU, 203 remain hospitalized, and 1,469 are in home isolation, with no deaths reported in any of the islands.

According to the latest data for the first day of June, the IA7 in the Canary Islands stands at 31.80 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 70.87 cases per 100,000 inhabitants over 14 days. To date, a total of 1,139,170 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,742 correspond to yesterday.

By islands, Tenerife adds 48 cases in the last 24 hours with 1,057 active cases, again being the island with the most new cases. Gran Canaria, already at alert level 1, adds 17 more and has 395 active. Lanzarote adds 8 new cases with 199 active; Fuerteventura has 2 more and 46 active, El Hierro adds 1 case, and there were none in La Palma or El Hierro.
