The Tenerife Cabildo has once again closed all access roads to the Teide National Park due to the presence of ice on the road, so that it cannot be accessed by car on the roads of Vilaflor, La Esperanza and La Orotava, and remind that crowds should be avoided and travelling out of your own municipality is not recommended.

The accesses were closed originally closed on Saturday as a result of the first snow caused by storm 'Filomena' and were reopened yesterday, which lead to a throng of people heading up the mountain, causing traffic jams in and out of the National Park, but the ice generated this morning has forced them to close the roads to traffic again.

In addition, the network of forest trails is being reviewed and access to public mountains, El Chinyero and Las Palomas nature reserves, the Corona Forestal natural park, and the protected landscape of Las Lagunetas are also closed.
