Tomorrow is Kings Day, Friday 6th January, which is the biggest day of the year in the Canarian calendar and a national holiday, with parades in every major town and city as children welcome the Magi from the East and leave their shoes out tonight so that they deliver their Christmas presents.
Thousands will take to the streets this afternoon and this evening, so what will the weather be like? According to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), there will be clear skies with few changes in temperatures throughout today, with a swell in the sea of between 1 and 2 metres and waves up to 2 metres.
Much of the same is forecast for tomorrow, although with more cloud, moderate winds, and it is expected to be mostly dry with only some light precipitation at altitude in the more mountainous islands.
