The cold continues in the Canaries after the calima

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is forecasting rain today (Wednesday) in Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, and in the north of Gran Canaria and La Palma. The islands will also experience falling temperatures and northerly wind with strong gusts on the summits and western and eastern slopes of the most mountainous islands.

According to the forecast, very strong local gusts of wind are likely to occur on the southwest and southeast slopes of La Gomera and El Hierro, and on the west and east slopes of the rest of the mountainous islands, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and La Palma.

The haze is now lifting but will still be seen at sea where there will be a swell from the northwest with waves of 1 to 2 metres high and some rain, and sunset will be at 6:57pm.
