Every year you will hear people say “it doesn’t feel very Christmassy because it’s so hot”, but it’s that winter sun that continues to bring thousands to the Canary Islands, with Christmas and New Year being two of the busiest weeks of the year.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the islands are starting Christmas week with clear skies, some light clouds this afternoon, sunshine, light winds, and haze in the eastern islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Temperatures are also expected to rise slightly as the archipelago heads towards a yellow Christmas, from the amount of sunshine.
