TUESDAY WEATHER: Cloudier skies and light showers expected across the Canary Islands
Cloudy spells and occasional light showers will dominate weather conditions across the Canary Islands today, Tuesday, according to forecasts from the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
At sea, winds from the northeast at force 4 to 6 will bring a moderate to rough swell. A northwest groundswell of 2 to 3 metres is expected to ease to 1 to 2 metres later in the day. Along the west coasts, winds will be variable at force 1 to 3 with local breezes and slight seas.

LANZAROTE
Cloudy intervals are expected, with the possibility of isolated light rain. Temperatures will show little change. Moderate winds will blow from the northeast to north.
General temperature range: Low of 14°C and a high of 20°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Cloudy intervals will persist, and light, isolated showers cannot be ruled out. Maximum temperatures will remain unchanged or rise slightly, while minimums may fall a little. Moderate winds will shift between northeast and north.
General temperature range: Low of 14°C and a high of 21°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Cloudy intervals in the north with a low chance of light rain, more likely in mid-altitude areas. The rest of the island will see clearer skies. Temperatures will remain steady, though minimums could drop slightly. Moderate northeasterly winds will turn northerly in the afternoon, with occasional strong gusts on the southeast and west slopes and at higher elevations, where very strong gusts are possible, especially on the peaks early in the day.
General temperature range: Low of 16°C and a high of 21°C.
TENERIFE
Cloudy intervals in the north with a chance of light rain, particularly in mid-altitude zones. Elsewhere, skies will be mostly clear with occasional cloud inland. Temperatures will stay stable, though minimums may slip slightly. Moderate northeasterly winds will swing to the north during the afternoon, with strong gusts expected on the southeast flank, the far northwest, and high terrain. Very strong gusts are possible in the central peaks during the first half of the day.
General temperature range: Low of 16°C and a high of 22°C.
