September sees a change in weather with rain this weekend on several Islands

The arrival of September will bring a change in weather this weekend, as rain is forecast in some of the Canary Islands. Although the weather will be rainy, temperatures will not suffer a significant drop but will remain stable around 25°C with maximums at certain times of the day in tourist hotspots that could be close to 30°C.

Isolated and occasional rainfall is not ruled out in the western islands tonight (Friday), being more likely in La Palma and in the peaks of Tenerife, an island where the probability of rain rises to 55% during the night, and no showers are expected in the eastern islands this evening.

Tomorrow, Saturday, some weak and isolated showers in the north of the islands of greater relief, especially Tenerife, are not ruled out. In Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura there is also a slight chance of rain during the day, which in any case will be occasional, located at specific points on these islands.

More intense rainfall is expected on Sunday, than in the previous two days, which will be light rain mainly on the northern slopes of the islands with greater relief during the morning, and on the southeastern slopes in the afternoon.

In the rest of the areas of the Archipelago, it may rain, although it will be in the form of scattered showers. Following the probability of precipitation forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), Fuerteventura (has an 80% chance), Tenerife (75%), and Gran Canaria (35%) will be the islands most affected by rain.

On Monday, there is a high probability of rain on the southeastern slopes of the western islands (Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro) during the central hours of the day, especially in Tenerife, where the probability of rain is 75%.

There are also light showers expected in Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. For the rest of next week, some showers are forecast on the mountainous islands, with cloudy intervals, although it should be noted that the prediction for next week is still uncertain and will be updated as the days go by.
