According to the latest AEMET forecast, there will be variable cloudiness, scattered and occasional showers on some of the islands, and strong northeast winds will prevail today, Monday, in the Canaries.
At sea, there will be north or northeast winds of force 3 or 4, increasing to 4 or 5 in the northwest and further offshore in the southeast, reaching force 5 or 6 during the morning, with areas of strong swells further offshore in the southeast in the morning.
In the southwest, winds will be variable force 1 to 4, and the sea will be calm. A northwest swell of 2 to 3 metres, decreasing to 2 metres in the west and northwest, with a north swell of 1 to 2 metres elsewhere.
During the first half of the day, cloudy skies in the northern slope with the possibility of some light, scattered, and occasional rain. In the afternoon, clear skies will develop in the north, while an increase in cloudiness is expected in the southeast slope with possible light, scattered, and occasional showers.

Moderate north winds, strengthening in the afternoon with probable very strong gusts in elevated areas of Valle de Güímar, in low-lying coastal areas of the southeast, and the Teno Massif. Southerly breezes on the southern slope.
