The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are forecasting rain this weekend in the Canary Islands, starting tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) in the southeast of La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria (where the highest accumulation will be recorded), and with a small amount in the north of Lanzarote.

At night, the rains will move to the north of Tenerife, north of Gran Canaria, El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma, with greater amounts accumulated in the southwest of the island.

Rough seas are expected due to northeasterly winds of force 4 or 5, occasionally reaching force 6, forming locally strong waves. Variable winds of force 2 or 3 are forecasted with slight to moderate waves along the south, west, and southwestern coasts of the islands, with a northerly swell with waves ranging from 1 to 2 metres in height.
