Occasional showers and a drop in temperatures this Wednesday

According to today’s forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), there is a strong possibility of light rain this Wednesday in the Canary Islands, with partly cloudy intervals and a drop in temperatures.

At sea, there will be a southwest wind of force 5 or 6, changing to a wind from the west of force 2 or 3 later in the day. There will be a moderate to strong swell, with temporarily rough areas offshore in the northwest and north, with medium-sized waves.

Wednesday’s forecast by island:

LANZAROTE:

Partly cloudy intervals with a low probability of occasional light showers. Temperatures dropping, especially the maximums, which could be notably lower. Light winds with a predominance of breezes on the coast.
Temperatures: high of 23°C and low of 16°C.

FUERTEVENTURA:

Cloudy intervals with occasional light rain. Temperatures decreasing, particularly the maximum values, which could be notably lower. Light winds in most areas, with breezes on the coast.
Temperatures: high of 23°C and low of 15°C.

GRAN CANARIA:

Cloudy in the northeast, cloudy intervals elsewhere. Probability of rain, generally light and occasional showers, on the north and east slopes of the island. Moderate drop in temperatures, more noticeable on the east slope. Light variable winds inland and on coasts, with moderate southwest winds on mountain summits, and strong gusts during the night.
Temperatures: high of 23°C and low of 17°C.

TENERIFE:

Cloudy in the northeast, with cloudy intervals elsewhere. Occasional light and locally moderate showers across the island, especially this afternoon. Generally light variable winds, except in mountain summits, where southwest winds will be moderate, and at high altitudes, strong with very strong gusts.
Temperatures: high of 23°C and low of 18°C.
