Mostly clear skies and northeast winds expected in the Canary Islands this Wednesday

The Spanish met office, AEMET, is forecasting a nice day with mostly clear skies and occasionally strong northeast to north winds prevailing in the Canary Islands for today (Wednesday).

At sea, northeast winds of force 4 to 5 are expected along the northwest, northeast, and southeast coasts, with choppy conditions temporarily increasing to strong waves further offshore. A northern swell of 2 to 3 metres is anticipated with some big waves.

Wednesday’s weather forecast across the islands:

Lanzarote:

Expect partly cloudy skies across the island with cloudy intervals in the north this morning. Temperatures will remain relatively stable, with a northeast wind shifting to the north in the afternoon.
Temperatures: High of 22°C and a low of 17°C.

Fuerteventura:

Mostly clear skies are forecast with some cloudy intervals in the north and east during the morning. Temperatures will experience minimal changes, and the northeast wind will shift to the north later in the day.
Temperatures: High of 22°C and a low of 16°C.

Gran Canaria:

Partly cloudy skies with some cloudy intervals in the north, where overcast conditions will prevail in the early and late hours of the day. Temperatures will see slight fluctuations, with a mild increase in maximum temperatures in southern-facing areas inland. The northeast wind will occasionally be strong on southeast and northwest slopes, turning north in the afternoon. Coastal areas in the southwest will experience prevailing sea breezes.
Temperatures: High of 22°C and a low of 17°C.

Tenerife:

Expect partly cloudy intervals with mostly clear skies in the southeast. Temperatures will remain stable, with a slight increase in maximum temperatures in the east. The northeast wind will occasionally be strong on the southeast slope and extreme northwest, turning north later in the day. Coastal areas in the southwest will experience prevailing sea breezes.
Temperatures: High of 23°C and a low of 18°C.
