More crazy accommodation: This time a transit van in someone’s garden

Crazy accommodation offerings keep popping up in the Canary Islands from tents on roof terraces to a wooden shack on protected land with a bucket for the toilet, to now, a Ford Transit van in the middle of a garden in Fuerteventura, with no WIFI to encourage guests to detox from the digital world.

According to La Provincia newspaper, this latest offering is in Las Hermosas in the municipality of Pájara, and the host Katrin says: "Stay in the star protection zone of Fuerteventura and enjoy the mountain views. There's a fully equipped red Ford Transit in the garden, where one to two people can comfortably stay".

"I recommend renting a car since the estate is a bit off the beaten path, and the nearest city with commercial facilities and a restaurant is 3 kilometres away," advises Katrin.

According to listings on online accommodation platforms, the price is usually around 29 euros per night meaning a 5-night stay costs interested parties a total of 145 euros. However, it is a van in someone’s garden!
