A fire has caused the immediate evacuation of a hotel in Puerto de La Cruz this morning, the main tourist destination for Brits in the north of Tenerife.
The incident took place on Calle Santo Domingo in Puerto de la Cruz early this morning, and firefighters quickly cleared the building for the guest's safety as a precautionary measure, after receiving an alert
The fire, whose origin is still unknown, started in the garage of a residential building next door to the popular Marquesa Hotel, one of the most iconic in the city.
Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties, with damages limited to material possessions. Firefighters and police are currently on-site, continuing their efforts to address the situation.
