Couple found dead in an apartment in Gran Canaria
The National Police have launched an investigation after the bodies of a couple were discovered yesterday (Tuesday) in an apartment in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, both showing signs of a violent death, according to police sources.
The deceased, a 43-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both of Filipino origin, were found inside a property on Calle Bernardo de la Torre in the island’s capital.
Although the circumstances remain unclear, police sources have confirmed that the woman had previously filed a complaint against the man through Viogen, Spain’s gender-based violence monitoring system. The case, however, had been closed at the time.
The National Police have confirmed only the discovery of the bodies. No further details have been released, as the presiding judge has issued a secrecy order during the investigation.
