Covid update: New cases drop to below 100 with no Covid deaths
The Canary Islands have registered 94 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, and have 1,820 active of which 41 are admitted to ICU, 207 remain hospitalized, and 1,572 are being treated at home, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health.
Also no more Covid related deaths have been registered, so the total number of deaths on the islands since the beginning of the pandemic remains at 766, of which 424 have been in Tenerife; 268 in Gran Canaria; 49 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 on La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.
The Accumulated Incidence rate over 7 days in the Canary Islands has now dropped to 33.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA14 is at 75.97 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,131,741 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,525 correspond to the last 24 hours.
By islands, Tenerife adds 57 new infections with a total of 24,641 accumulated cases and 1,082 still active; Gran Canaria has 22,571 accumulated cases, 16 and 447 active; Lanzarote adds 12 new cases and has 222 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura adds 9 infections and has 56 active. There were no new cases in La Palma, La Gomera, or El Hierro.
