The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts partly cloudy skies in general for today (Thursday), except in the northern and eastern regions of the islands where cloudy skies with occasional rainfall and scattered showers are expected. Additionally, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly, as a change is on the way this weekend.
Winds will be stronger on the northwest and southeast slopes of the islands, with some strong gusts in areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Regarding sea conditions, AEMET predicts northeasterly winds of force 4 to 5, which may locally increase to force 6 in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote. The sea will range from slight to rough, with some heavy swells.
There will be a northwesterly swell with waves measuring 1 to 2 metres high, and occasional early morning rains in the eastern islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

TENERIFE:
Generally partly cloudy skies, except for the far north, which will be overcast with rain during the early morning and the first few hours of the day. Temperatures will remain unchanged or experience a slight decrease. Light northeasterly winds will prevail, becoming moderate in the far southeast and northwest, and becoming stronger during the morning. In central mountain areas, winds will be moderate from the north.
Expected Minimum and Maximum Temperatures (°C): 22°C and 27°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Mostly cloudy skies, except for the northern slopes, which will be overcast with a slight chance of light rain during the morning. Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly. Winds will be moderate from the northeast with occasional strong gusts in the east and west extremes. Coastal areas in the southwest will experience prevailing breezy conditions.
Expected Minimum and Maximum Temperatures (°C): 22°C and 25°C.
FUERTEVENTURA:
Mainly cloudy skies during the early morning and later this afternoon. Throughout the day, intermittent cloud cover is expected. There is light rain expected in the far northwest during the early morning and the first few hours of the day. Temperatures will remain unchanged or maximums will slightly decrease. Winds will be light from the northeast, increasing to moderate during the morning.

LANZAROTE:
Partly cloudy skies in general, except during the middle of the day when it will be mostly clear. There is a chance of light rain and showers this morning, primarily affecting the northwest slope. Temperatures will remain unchanged. Winds will be light from the northeast, increasing to moderate in the morning.
