A marijuana plantation is discovered in a house in Tinajo

The Guardia Civil have arrested a 63-year-old man in Tinajo, in the west of Lanzarote, after they discovered 205 marijuana plants in an “indoor plantation” at different stages of flowering.

They first went to the property because an alarm went off and were sent to investigate it, and when they got to the location given it was at an isolated chalet.

When they got there, officers knocked on the door but no one answered, but could see and smell the plants through a window.

After their discovery, the appropriate procedures were carried out that led to the seizure of more than 200 marijuana plants in various rooms of the house, and numerous materials for their maintenance and cultivation.

Finally, all the appropriate steps and inquiries were carried out to locate the person responsible for the plantation, and they located him at another property in the municipality where he was detained for questioning and subsequently arrested.
