Six injured after multi-vehicle collision in Adeje

Six people, including two children aged two and 11, have been injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the TF-1 motorway in Tenerife.

The accident happened near Fañabé in Adeje this morning (Wednesday), with emergency services alerted around 10.45am. The collision caused queues on the busy motorway through the south of the island.

Four ambulances were sent to the area, and the injured were taken to Hospiten Sur and the Hospital del Sur for treatment.

The two children and a 45-year-old woman suffered minor injuries. Another woman and an 18-year-old man were treated for minor neck injuries.

A 48-year-old man suffered moderate injuries following the crash and was also taken to hospital.

Firefighters assisted emergency medical teams, while the Guardia Civil dealt with the incident and began an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

The TF-1 is the main motorway serving southern Tenerife and carries heavy traffic between the island's main tourist areas and Tenerife South Airport. Accidents on this stretch can quickly lead to serious delays, particularly during busy daytime periods.
