A man reported missing in Lanzarote since Wednesday, was found alive yesterday (Saturday) following a large-scale search operation coordinated by the emergency response group Emerlan.
The man, a resident of Arrecife, was last seen in the Argana Alta area, so teams focused their search efforts on several key locations, including Argana, the nearby landfill site, and surrounding areas such as La Santa, Soo and El Cuchillo.
A wide range of specialist resources were deployed, including drone units, search dogs (K9), and a rope rescue team, and the operation was carried out in close coordination with the man’s family.
The missing man was eventually found at approximately 7:20pm by a family member, in an area between the Argana landfill and a nearby road.
Following the discovery, emergency services responded immediately. Medical teams were dispatched to the scene and provided initial treatment, then stabilised the man and transported him to the Hospital Universitario Doctor José Molina Orosa for further treatment.
Authorities have not released further details about the man’s condition, but the outcome brings a positive end to what had been an urgent and wide-ranging search effort.
