The Spanish Government is maintaining its plan to have vaccinated 70% of the population, which is 33 million people, by the end of the summer. The national vaccination strategy began in January with the inoculation of residents and staff of first-line senior centres and health and social health centres.
The latest data from the health administration indicates that nationally, 85.1% of residents in senior centres have already received both doses. Last month they began to be administered to the rest of the health and social health personnel, large dependents and those over 80 years of age, and in this current month the forecast is that people from 70 to 79 years old will receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
