Easter restrictions start at midnight tonight in the whole of Spain, including here

Today the Canary Islands Government has sent out a reminder of the specific and temporary measures approved by the Governing Council last week for the period between 00:00 hours on Friday 26th March (midnight tonight)  and 24:00 hours on Friday 9th April (the end of April 9th) to cover the two weeks of Easter, with the aim of preventing the spread of Covid-19 during this traditionally festive period. Being a catholic country, Easter is a massive celebration in Spain, hence the extra restrictions.

Travelling between the islands:
Firstly, the Governing Council approved the limitation of mobility between the islands, except for the essential reasons set forth in Royal Decree-Law 926/2020, of 25th of October, which includes assistance to health centres, work commitments, professional or business obligations, institutional or legal obligations, or to return to the place of habitual or family residence, among others.
It is possible to travel between islands outside of these exceptions provided that a negative active diagnostic test result (PDIA) is produced by those travelling.

Maximum group sizes:
The limitation of the number of people who may meet in public spaces, indoors or outdoors, is up to a maximum of 4 (except for co-habitants) in levels 1, 2 and 3, and a maximum of 2 in level 4.
In private spaces, only the meeting of cohabitants will be allowed, so visiting family or friends and children’s sleepovers are prohibited.
