A wanted man who has an outstanding warrant for his immediate arrest and imprisonment, has been detained by the Local Police in Mogán, Gran Canaria.
The warrant was issued by Criminal Court No. 4 of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 2nd April 2025.
According to a statement from Mogán Town Hall, the arrest took place while officers were on duty around the area of the Puerto Rico Commercial Centre.
The man was stopped by the officers who recognised him, then officially identified by checking his details through the police communications centre.
Upon verification, the officers were able to confirm directly with the Guardia Civil that the warrant was still active and in effect.
Following the confirmation, the Local Police took the man into custody and transferred him to police facilities to process the necessary paperwork. He was then handed over to the Civil Guard’s main post in Puerto Rico for further legal proceedings.
