Strong winds are set to sweep across much of the Canary Islands again today, Wednesday, accompanied by some cloud and the chance of light, occasional rain. According to AEMET, night-time temperatures will edge upwards, while daytime highs remain steady.

Six islands are once more under a yellow weather warning as the winds, initially light to moderate from the west, will shift to a north-westerly direction and strengthen through the day.

Occasional strong gusts are expected, particularly inland and at higher altitudes. Offshore, westerly to north-westerly winds will reach force 3 to 4, occasionally 5 in some areas. Seas will build from slight to moderate, with a north-westerly swell of 2–3 metres in places and up to 4 metres elsewhere.
