The National Geographic Institute (IGN) have reported several earthquakes in the Canary Islands in the last few hours, specifically towards the north of the Archipelago, between Tenerife and Gran Canaria, in the area popularly known as the Enmedio volcano.
The last of them, which was recorded at around 7:00am this morning (Wednesday), was located to the northeast of Gran Canaria with a magnitude of 2.7 on the Richter scale at a depth of 24 kilometres.
Three other tremors, between 1.5 and 2.5 degrees of magnitude on the Richter scale, have been registered by the IGN since yesterday evening.
