Rats photographed on restaurant terrace while diners are eating
Diners had some unwelcome guests on Friday evening when two large rats decided to join them on a restaurant terrace as they were eating their meals, in the Obelisk area in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The incident occurred at around 10:00pm when bin men passed by on a lorry with the two rats chasing them, who stopped at the restaurant terrace instead.
One of the rodents settled in the flower bed of a palm tree, and it was finally the diners who shooed the rats away, while restaurant staff came out with a broom to try to capture them.
Several of the diners immediately ended dinner and left.
