A 34-year-old man has been seriously injured after being hit by a lorry this morning (Monday) in the town of Agüimes, located in the southeast of Gran Canaria, according to a report from the emergency services (112).
The accident occurred at approximately 8:30a.m. on Calle Granados in the town. Emergency responders from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assessed and treated the injured man at the scene before transporting him by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria for urgent treatment to the injuries he sustained.
The Local Police assisted emergency crews at the scene of the incident, while the Guardia Civil have taken charge of the official investigation and report to determine the cause of the accident.
