MAYDAY WEATHER: Mostly sunny Friday with slight rise in temperatures
Overall, Friday promises comfortable spring weather across the islands, with plenty of sunshine for coastal areas and only a slight risk of isolated showers inland on the more mountainous islands.
AEMET forecasts show mostly clear skies with some high cloud, and a slight rise in daytime temperatures in Gran Canaria and the eastern islands.
Maximum temperatures are expected to increase slightly in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, while minimum temperatures will remain largely unchanged across the archipelago. Winds will generally be light from the northeast, influenced by local sea breezes.
Sea conditions
At sea, variable winds of force 1 to 3 are forecast. In the western islands, winds may temporarily turn southerly at force 2 to 3, while in the eastern islands they are expected to strengthen to force 3 or 4 from the east or northeast later in the day. Seas will be slight, with a north-westerly swell of between one and two metres.

Tenerife
Tenerife will start the day largely clear, with intervals of high cloud. As the day progresses, inland areas may see increased cloud development, leading to cloudier skies in parts of the interior. There is a small chance of light, scattered and occasional showers in these areas.
Temperatures will remain broadly unchanged. Winds will be light from the northeast, shaped by sea breezes, with moderate spells possible along the southwest and southeast coasts towards the end of the day. In the central peaks, moderate southwesterly winds are forecast.
General temperature range: Low of 17°C and high of 23°C.
Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria will see mostly clear skies with intervals of high cloud. During the middle of the day, some cloud may develop inland, particularly over higher ground. Minimum temperatures will stay much the same, while maximum temperatures will increase slightly, more noticeably in summit areas.
Light northeasterly winds will dominate, influenced by sea breezes, with moderate intervals expected along the northeast and southeast coasts.

Lanzarote
Lanzarote will enjoy mostly clear skies with intervals of high cloud. Temperatures will remain pleasant, with minimums seeing little change and maximums rising slightly. Light northeasterly winds will prevail, shaped by sea breezes, with occasional moderate gusts during the second half of the day.
General temperature range: Low of 14°C and high of 23°C.
Fuerteventura
Conditions in Fuerteventura will mirror those in Lanzarote, with largely sunny skies and patches of high cloud. Daytime temperatures will rise slightly, while overnight lows remain steady. Winds will be light from the northeast, becoming occasionally moderate later in the day.
General temperature range: Low of 16°C and high of 22°C.
