A major fight broke out between passengers this afternoon (Friday) on the tarmac at Tenerife South Airport, shortly after a Ryanair flight from Stansted landed at 2:30pm, as reported by Diario De Avisos.
Witnesses report that it was between a group of approximately 15 males who had arrived for a stag party who confronted another group of three people, with at least one person getting injured in the incident.
It happened as the passengers were disembarking from Ryanair flight FR2425 to get on a shuttle bus to the terminal. It’s not yet known what caused the fight, but several images of the brawl captured the moments of tension, showing people without shirts on engaging in the fight.
The Guardia Civil intervened swiftly, and arrested six of the people involved in the disturbance, and the authorities are currently investigating the details of the incident to determine the causes and responsibilities, amid growing concern among passengers and airport staff.
