In a recent development, the Local Police of Mogán arrested an individual on Thursday who was found to be in possession of fifteen packages of cocaine and two pieces of hashish, all cleverly divided into individual doses prepared to sell. This discovery has raised suspicions of a potential drug distribution operation in the Puerto Rico area, known for its vibrant nightlife.
The incident unfolded during a routine patrol by the Local Police who noticed a man exiting the Puerto Rico Shopping Centre. The man's behaviour immediately caught their attention as he attempted to hastily conceal a package in a nearby flowerbed upon spotting the police patrol car.
When approached by the officers and asked to identify himself, the suspect's unease escalated. In a desperate bid to evade arrest, the man resorted to physical resistance, even pushing one of the police officers before making a frantic escape through several streets.
A determined pursuit by the officers ensued, eventually leading to the apprehension of the suspect in the Urban Park in Puerto Rico.
The suspect is now in custody and faces multiple charges, including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of hashish with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, and assault of a police officer.
The case is currently under investigation as authorities work to unravel any potential connections and networks involved in this alleged drug trade.
